It’s TTR’s AGM month, so please join us on Wednesday 21 May for a celebration of 2013/4 for a shared meal, social and a little bit of business! Also it’s time to elect our new steering group so if you would like to be more involved in shaping Transition in Reading, this is your chance! Please see below for more info.
Business meeting where we look at our communications, review finances and funding and looking at how we can be more effective as a group. We don’t really look at specific projects in this meeting, so not the most interesting for first timers. Targeted at steering group members but open to everyone.
This is a practical session to review the TTR website and make improvements to it. If you have ideas about structure or content that you would like to appear on the site, you can add your ideas here. As this is a practical meeting and will be computer-based, we’re limiting this meeting to 6 people, so we can get things done. Experience on WordPress is especially welcome. At the AGM, we will have a review of what has happened over the past year and how we are doing financially as well as discuss any changes that we would like to see happen within TTR in the future.

Possibly even more importantly than this, Wednesday 21 May will also be a chance for everyone involved in and interested in Transition to get together, share food (please bring a dish!), play some music if you are that way inclined and just catch up.
We will aim to keep the AGM business as short as possible then enjoy a relaxed evening together. New people also very welcome – if not keen on joining the AGM business, please come along from 8ish onwards.
A new allotment-based community food growing project based in Woodley. The objectives of the project are to share food, skills and work, whilst building community and having fun. Keep an eye on upcoming events for future Growing Together allotment sessions on the TTR website, the newsletter and the Growing together Facebook page
The draught proofing project has a new website! This will make is easier for members of the public to find out about draught proofing and how the project can support them. We will still post updates on the project in the newsletter and basic info on the transition website, but for more info, we will direct to www.draughtbusters.net
