Happy March in Transition!
This month will be filled with tree planting and opportunities to join in the Transition Energy group, as well as our regular Repair Cafe at Jacksons (Sunday 15 March) and projects planning meeting (Monday 16 March).
It’s also time when we start thinking about who will be involved in running transition in 2015/16. We have had a great team of people planning events, organising meetings, taking minutes, raising funds and helping plan the future of TTR. If you would like to take a more leading role in running Transition, then it’s your chance to step up at our AGM in May (date tbc). Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to find out more about getting involved in the steering group, or ask at one of our meetings. It’s vital we get new people to help bring fresh ideas and energy into the group. To see the positions go to www.transitionreading.org.
If you work in the green or ethical sector or just have a passion for those issues, Green Drinks is for you.
Come along to the Global Café on Tuesday 3 March from 6.30 to 8.30pm to meet like-minded people for a chat over a drink or two.
There’s no need to book – just turn up on the evening. But if you’d like to sign up for monthly meeting reminders, email the local co-ordinator, Kathryn McCann, at email@example.com. For more details see http://www.greendrinks.

After some recent promotion, we have had a number of groups show an interest in planting a number of trees on community land and allotments. This is great news, but now we’ll be needing a team of planters to help make sure all trees are planted!
Details of exactly when and where we’ll be planting are to be confirmed – watch this space for more info! If you are particularly interested in being involved in the project OR if you know of any potential locations for orchards where we would have permission to plant, please email Alex at treasurer@
